Emma DeGreen, ALC

Emma DeGreen is a therapist at Birmingham Recovery Center, where she supports clients navigating substance use and mental health challenges. She earned her undergraduate degree from Auburn University, majoring in psychology with a minor in counseling, before pursuing her Master of Education in clinical mental health counseling at the University of Montevallo. Emma is licensed by the state of Alabama as an Associate Licensed Counselor (ALC). Her therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing from narrative therapy, solution-focused, person-centered, and experiential modalities to meet each client where they are and tailor care to their individual story and goals. Emma completed both her practicum and internship at Birmingham Recovery Center, giving her a deep familiarity with the BRC clinical model and the population she now serves as a member of the team. She is committed to creating a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and empowered to move toward meaningful, lasting change.
