Amy has dedicated her career to helping individuals and families affected by substance use and mental health disorders. After earning her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Alabama, she went on to complete her Master’s in Community Agency Counseling at the University of Montevallo. From the very start, she knew she wanted to make a difference in the field of addiction and recovery. With 18 years of experience in both residential and outpatient treatment, Amy has worked closely with individuals on their journey to healing. Her passion for this work extends beyond clinical expertise—she believes in meeting people where they are, providing support with empathy, and fostering real change. As one of the founding leaders of Longleaf Recovery and Wellness, Amy initially served as Clinical Director and now holds the role of Chief Clinical Officer. In this capacity, she continues to shape the organization’s clinical vision, ensuring that each client receives compassionate, evidence-based care. Above all, Amy is committed to creating an environment where both clients and staff feel supported, empowered, and valued. She considers it a privilege to do this work and remains dedicated to making a lasting impact on the recovery community.
