Riley earned his bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Alabama and received his master’s degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. Riley was drawn to the field of substance abuse because of his own personal story of addiction and recovery. Riley believes that compassion and fundamental respect for the individual struggling with addiction is the cornerstone of effective substance abuse treatment. Riley practices his own medicine by enjoying connections with friends, family and his two dogs. He also enjoys watching sports, hiking, dog parks, good coffee, new food recipes and deep belly laughs.
