Sara Margaret Helmsing, ALC, is a clinical mental health counselor who brings warmth, empathy, and genuine investment to every client relationship. She has experience supporting clients navigating substance use disorder, neurodivergence, depression, and anxiety, and she is deeply passionate about the work she gets to do alongside the people she serves.
A native of Mobile, Alabama, Sara Margaret earned her Bachelor of Science in psychology from Belmont University and her Master of Education in clinical mental health counseling from the University of Montevallo. Her clinical approach draws on compassion-focused therapy, person-centered therapy, motivational interviewing, and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), allowing her to tailor care to each client’s needs and goals.
Above all, Sara Margaret is committed to creating an empathetic, judgment-free space where clients feel safe to be themselves and do meaningful work. She meets people with compassion and without judgment, believing that lasting change grows from a foundation of trust and understanding.
