Counselors Assistant

Simone is a devoted and diligent counselor assistant with experience working in a therapeutic environment. Originally from Cape Town, South Africa, she obtained a bachelor’s degree in social work from Stellenbosch University. She has 3 years’ experience in the field and during this time had the privilege to work with individuals (of all ages) from various communities and backgrounds, facilitating foster care placement and empowerment of biological parents. Relocating to Birmingham in 2018 has been a positive experience for Simone and a fun adventure learning all about the America culture. Since starting at LWB in January 2025, Simone applies her skills and knowledge to supporting our clients on their path to recover- a passion shared with her mother!
