What is Outpatient Treatment?
The general goal of outpatient treatment is to provide the step-down support that will prepare clients to make a seamless transition out of treatment. At the outpatient treatment level, our clients typically receive care for a few hours each week. Individual therapy and group counseling are the primary means of treatment at the outpatient level. Clients who have been taking prescription medications to help them manage their symptoms and remain in recovery may also receive medication management services while they’re in our outpatient treatment program.

What to Expect in Outpatient Treatment
Our outpatient treatment is often the last step in the continuum of clinical care that typically begins with residential or partial hospitalization (PHP). Since OP is intended to provide a limited set of services for individuals who have been abstinent from substance use for 90 days or more, most programs do not admit clients directly to this level of care.
